Based
in Dijon, each season the Breitling Jet Team performs around fifty demonstrations
throughout Europe, at air shows, Formula 1 Grand Prix races, and sports
events. Dazzling shows where speed, precision and daring vie with the
beauty of their formations.
The air show presented by the Breitling Jet Team generally lasts seventeen
minutes. The acrobatic formations of the five L-39 planes are underscored
by a (biodegradable) smoke-trail system; they are also enhanced by a musical
accompaniment that further heightens the intensity of the performance.
During the demonstration, the planes perform while flying in formations
2.5 m from each other - with formation breaks, and crossovers.
The L-39 aircraft is a low-wing, tandem seating, all metal turbofan powered
aircraft designed for basic and advanced training, including weapon delivery
practicing, as well as for light attack tasks.
The practical suitability of L-39 aircraft for training tasks is demonstrated
daily in military service of more than 30 Air Forces in Europe, Asia,
Africa. The entire L-39 fleet, covering more than 2,800 delivered L-39
aircraft worldwide, has accumulated over 4,000,000 flying hours. |
